“ASK A LAWYER” PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

THE SOUTH BAY BAR ASSOCIATION NEEDS VOLUNTEERS FOR ITS LAW DAY “ASK A LAWYER” PROGRAM ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 4th 2011.

Members-Here is your chance for a one-time pro bono opportunity!  Provide a valuable service and help improve the public’s perception of the legal community at the same time!!
The Association is again offering our “Ask a Lawyer” Program in conjunction with National Law Week.  On Wednesday, May 4th, 2011, there will be attorney volunteers working in three-hour shifts from 8:30 to 4:30 at the Torrance Courthouse on the first floor.
We are asking you to volunteer your valuable time to provide free, short consultations for people with questions on a variety of topics.

The shifts will be 8:30-11:30, 11:00-2:00, and 1:30-4:30.  We would like to have attorneys available for each shift in the following practice areas:
General Civil Litigation-2 attorneys per shift
Family Law-2 attorneys per shift
Real Estate/Unlawful Detainer-2 attorneys per shift
Probate/Estate Planning-1attorney per shift

If you are interested in three hours of your valuable time to this worthy cause, please respond by telephone or e-mail to Nicole Garcia, no later than Friday, April 25th.  Please specify which shift(s) you would be available to work and what practice area you would cover.
